We want to thank Atlanta Gas Light Co. and their generous donation during their "Keeping Kids Warm" campaign. Today, they donated a hundred new coats to help keep our students warm! We can't wait to see the smiles of those in need. Thank you, Atlanta Gas Light Co!!!
There will be no school next week for Thanksgiving break, November 20-24. Make time to spend with your loved ones and see the joy that surrounds you. Happy Thanksgiving from your Cherokee family.

Today we celebrate National Parent Involvement Day. Parents, we see you and appreciate all you do at home and at school to support your child's success. At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents. Thank you.
Cherokee's Teacher of the Year, Coach Chris McKelvey was recognized at last night's PSD Board Meeting. It is an honor to have Coach McKelvey represent CES. His commitment to teaching and coaching is truly admirable. He loves and develops lifetime relationships with his students. Once again, Congratulations to Coach Chris McKelvey!

Cherokee fifth graders participated in the CHAMPS Program today. Sergeant Mike Jones went over the importance of reporting bullies and to stop the bullying cycle. We are grateful to Polk Co. Sheriff's Department and Sergeant Mike Jones for providing the CHAMPS program for our fifth graders! 💙

Thank you to Ryan Robinson and Monica Whitfield from Family Savings Credit Union for coming to visit all our fifth graders today. They discussed financial literacy, expenses of needs vs wants, and how money grows in a savings account. It was a wonderful lesson!
