We are working on a special treat for our 5th Grade Finale this year & we need YOUR help!
✨ We need pictures of your 5th Grade student. (Think like a senior Yearbook Page)
✨ Please e-mail your photos to David.cummings@polk.k12.ga.us
✨ Be sure to include your child’s name in the email.
✨ Send them in ASAP! This is a huge project that we are working on, and it will take a bit of time to get it together! Photos must be submitted by May 9.

Kindergarten had so much fun hunting eggs today!
5th Graders enjoying their well-earned baseball field trip.
Fourth grade enjoyed a fabulous day at Red Top Mountain State Park. The students made medallions and were informed of numerous animals of Georgia and their habitats.
Parents and guardians of upcoming kindergarten students are invited to attend a transitions meeting on April 24 at 5:30pm. Parents will be given information about what they and their students can expect in kindergarten.

Kindergarten registration will continue Mondays from 1pm to 3pm beginning April 14 and continuing through May 19. Please bring the required documents to register your kindergartner.

These teachers are amazing at getting the work done! We are blessed to have them at Eastside guiding our students everyday and helping to build strong, independent thinkers.
These two staff members work tirelessly to enrich the lives of their students and never give up! They consistently provide encouragement, instruction, and patience with our bright, young minds. Eastside is fortunate to have them in the family.

Eastside Elementary is proud to announce that Jud Forsyth won Honorable Mention in the 2024-2025 Young Georgia Authors regional competition, hosted by Northwest Georgia RESA. Congratulations to Jud Forsyth!
The purpose of the Young Georgia Authors (YGA) writing competition is to encourage students to develop an enthusiasm for and expertise in their writing, to provide a context to celebrate their writing successes, and to recognize student achievement in arts and academics.
This prestigious competition has been engaging Georgia students for more than two decades and is open to any student currently enrolled in Georgia public schools, grades K-12. The competition is sponsored by the Georgia Language Arts Supervisors (GLAS) and the Georgia RESA Network.
