Third grade is beginning a new unit starting with rounding. We made color coded number lines to visualize our numbers and then used them to problem solve. We also practiced estimating and rounding with a jumping jacks competition.

3rd Grade did an experiment learning about temperature today. "A Whole Lot of Shaking Going On!" We determined if the temperature of the sand increased after shaking it.

Megan Smith was recognized as the Eastside Elementary Teacher of the Year at the Polk School District Board Meeting last night. We are honored to have Mrs. Smith represent Eastside. 2nd Grade enjoyed a field trip to the Dallas Theater to watch the production of "FrankenSTEM". After the play, they enjoyed lunch at White Oak Park. It was a great day!
