✨ Let’s make 2027 senior year unforgettable, and it starts with your Senior portrait! 🎉

Jostens will be back on campus during all lunches and after school until 5pm on Wednesday, Feb 18th (you are welcome to come!) for you and your student to shop rings, try them on, get their finger sized and place your order. If their ring is ordered either online by Wednesday or at school on Wednesday, you get THREE benefits.
1. Discounted pricing (goes away after 2/18 Wednesday!!)
2. FREE Class of 2028 Hoodie
3. FREE 2028 Gratitude Ring
DO NOT HAVE TO PAY IN FULL, just simply place your order. Payment options in the packet and online.
Your students will receive their class rings, together with their class, on the same day in August.
Visit Jostens.com or call the local Jostens office at (706)226-4446 if you have any questions.

Cedartown High School will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow morning, Tuesday, January 27.
The building will open at 9:30 AM, with the tardy bell ringing at 10:00 AM.
All students should report directly to 3rd period.

WEATHER UPDATE: Polk School District will open with a two-hour delayed start on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The additional time will ensure our buses and facilities are fully operational and warm. This means all bus routes, school openings, and start times will be shifted forward by 2 hours from their regularly scheduled times. For example, a 7:00 AM bus pickup will now be a 9:00 AM pickup, etc. There will be no change in dismissal procedures.
Please ensure all students are dressed warmly for tomorrow's frigid temperatures. Wear layers, hats, gloves, and scarves.
We appreciate your continued understanding and support as we take these precautions to ensure the safety of our students and staff during these extreme cold conditions.

Any decisions regarding school closures or delays next week will be made by 12 p.m. on Monday. Families will be notified through phone calls, text messages, our website, Facebook, and the district mobile app.
All weekend extracurricular activities have been canceled.
We appreciate your continued support and cooperation as conditions continue to evolve.

January 23rd is the FINAL day to guarantee your CHS yearbook!

Final Exam Information – Please Read Carefully
Students have received an Exam Exemption Form. This form indicates whether they are exempt from their final exams and provides all instructions for exam week, December 16–19.
All students must return their Exam Exemption Form to the office, whether they are exempt or not.
If a student wishes to sign out after exams, or if they are exempt but still plan to attend school on exam days, the form must be signed by a parent/guardian before being returned.
For full details, please review the Exam Exemption Form your student received.
Please note, for exempted students:
•Attendance will still be taken every single day during exam week. This is necessary to know exactly which students are on campus for safety and accountability.
• Students who are exempt and choose not to attend school during exam days will be marked absent in PowerSchool.
• PowerSchool will still send an automated absence call. If your child is exempt and not on campus, this call may be disregarded.
• These absences will not affect their exam or attendance exemption status.

Polk School District students will have an early release day on Friday, December 19, 2025.
Elementary Schools: Dismiss at 11:30 AM
Middle & High Schools: Dismiss at 12:00 PM
A sack lunch will be provided to all students before dismissal.
Please note: All After School programs will be closed on this day.
We wish all of our PSD families a safe and fun-filled holiday season! ❄️✨

Behind every can donated is a story of hope, compassion, and community. Your small act of kindness can fill an empty pantry, bring comfort to a struggling family, and remind someone they’re not alone.
Let’s show what it truly means to be a Bulldog: strong, united, and full of heart. 🐾

It’s that special time of year when our school community comes together to make a difference! From November 11 through November 21, we’re hosting our Annual Canned Food Drive, with a district-wide goal of collecting 25,000 cans to help local families in need. 💙
✅ How to Help:
Bring non-perishable canned goods to your school during the drive dates. Every can counts toward our goal!
Let’s show the power of kindness, teamwork, and community spirit. Together, we can fill pantry shelves and hearts this holiday season. 💪❤️
