Are you interested in learning more about Dual Enrollment for the 2027–2028 school year? Parents of all current 10th- and 11th-grade students are invited to join us!

Dual Enrollment allows eligible students to take college courses and earn credit toward both a high school diploma and a college degree or technical diploma — at no cost to the student!

Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s): The 2026-2027 school year is off to a great start. We are excited about the new school year, but most of all, we are looking forward to a safe school year. Please know that your child’s safety and security remain our number one priority. With that being said, we wanted to let you know that we will be conducting emergency safety drills throughout the year. These drills will be for fire, weather, intruder and hazardous material. While we are conducting these drills to continue our efforts in keeping everyone safe we are also complying with the Georgia Safe Schools Act which requires all public schools to conduct an annual intruder alert drill for students, teachers, and staff by October 1st of each year, as mandated by Georgia Code § 20-2-1185 and under the guidance of the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS). Everyone plays a role in school safety. Students, staff, parents, and community members are encouraged to be observant and report suspicious activities or anything that makes them feel uncomfortable, nervous, or frightened. If you ever have any doubt, do not hesitate to contact the Polk School District Police Department, Polk School District Board of Education office, or our schools. If you See Something, Say Something. Polk School District takes ALL threats very seriously. Parents and/or Guardians, please have conversations with your student(s) about the serious nature of threats. We need to inform our students that any threat made in person or through social media is not a joking matter, and there will be serious consequences that could result in your student not being allowed to attend school on one of our campuses.
