November is National Parent Involvement Month! We have sent home an optional family project to help grow our school's turkey. As a family, please decorate a feather and write what your family or student is thankful for. Mrs. Garcia and our school's nutrition team will attach your beautiful family feathers to our turkey. We can't wait to see how big our Thankful Turkey will grow!

Van Wert School of Excellence – Science is bubbling over with excitement in our classrooms! Students explored chemical reactions firsthand by mixing baking soda and vinegar to create carbon dioxide gas—and watched in amazement as their balloons inflated like magic!

Happy Birthday to the following students who celebrated a birthday recently!! #happybirthday

3rd grade Gifted students used their Evaluative Thinking skills to develop criteria and assign value to different varieties of chips. After completing their matrix, most of them discovered they liked Laura Lynn classic chips the best!

Everyone, please congratulate our Scripps Classroom Spelling Bee winners and runner-ups! These students will compete next Wednesday at our School Scripps Bee. The winner next week will represent Van Wert at the county competition in January.

🎉 Annual District Canned Food Drive – November 11–21! 🥫
It’s that special time of year when our school community comes together to make a difference! From November 11 through November 21, we’re hosting our Annual Canned Food Drive, with a district-wide goal of collecting 25,000 cans to help local families in need. 💙
✅ How to Help:
Bring non-perishable canned goods to your school during the drive dates. Every can counts toward our goal!
Let’s show the power of kindness, teamwork, and community spirit. Together, we can fill pantry shelves and hearts this holiday season. 💪❤️
