Our students worked hard on the MAP assessments over the last couple of weeks and it really paid off. Congratulations to the students who made the top 10 for their grade levels in Reading or Math!!
🌟 Marathon Kids is BACK in PE! 🌟
Our 3rd–5th graders are off and running with the Marathon Kids activity program as a 10-minute warm-up in PE! Students are walking, jogging, and running as many laps as they can — with the focus on progress, effort, and fun. 🏃♀️🏃♂️
👉 Each lap = 0.18 miles
👉 Tuesday + Wednesday total = 153.54 miles 🤯👏
That’s an amazing start, and we’re just getting warmed up! 🔥
💡 2nd grade students will join the program soon — and we can’t wait to see our school mileage grow even more!

Eastside Elementary is pleased to announce Emily Stinson as the Educator of the Year! Mrs. Stinson is an amazing teacher and is currently teaching fourth grade. Mrs. Stinson has been at Eastside for 12 years and says she could imagine herself anywhere else. We are blessed to have her in the Eastside Family!
Shout out to Eastside principal, Ryan Shepard, who helped out at the Polk Community Livestock Show at the Polk County Fair last week. Three Eastside students learned to show cattle and walk the young cows around the ring. What an awesome opportunity!

Lost and found is still growing. Remind your students to collect their things!
Parents and guardians, we have several informational events coming up on September 11. First, we will have our morning Pastries with the Principal along with the Annual Title 1 Meeting at 10 am. Then, another delivery of the Annual Title 1 Meeting at 5:00pm. Beginning at 5:30 teachers will host Back To School Night to discuss curriculum and plans for the year. Teachers will present the same information at 5:30 and then again at 6:00. We hope to see you for these informative sessions!
