It has been a fun week! We had visits from elves and Santa Longshore, caroling in the halls, and an amazing staff dinner provided by the Eastside PTO. We hope you and your families have a wonderful holiday season!

Christmas sock/hat day!

Cold and Flu season are upon us! Take steps to keep your family healthy this season. Remind children to cover coughs and sneezes with an elbow and to wash hands with soap and warm water for 30 seconds. A big thanks to our school nurse, Kristen Maxedon, for helping our kids stay healthy!

Fifth Grade Christmas Fun

Kindergarten loves tacky sweater day!

Friday, December 19, will be an early release for all students. Car rider line up will begin at 11 am and dismissal will be at 11:30. Students should be picked up by 12:00 pm. There will be no afterschool program or activities. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas break!

Third grade classes enjoyed Christmas story time with Mr. Shepard and Dr. Richardson. There's nothing like a good book to get in the Christmas spirit!

Our Kindergarten and 1st grade students have been working hard in PE during our Locomotor Challenge! 🚶♂️🏃♀️✨
They practiced listening, following directions, and performing their locomotor skills—walking, jogging, running, skipping, galloping, hopping, and jumping—to earn their very own Locomotor License.
Great job, students! We are so proud of you! 👏

💥 Ninja Jump Rope Challenge + Golf Skills in PE! 🏃⛳
Our 4th and 5th graders crushed it in the Ninja Jump Rope Challenge! Students worked hard to complete consecutive jumps and advance through the jump-rope levels: 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, and 200. Each time a student reached a new level, they proudly signed their name on the matching poster in the gym.
We even had a few teachers jump into the fun!
We also introduced golf skills to our 2nd–5th graders through the First Tee program. Students practiced putting, and our 4th and 5th graders explored driving and chipping. It was a few weeks of building coordination, confidence, and new skills!

Be on the look out for our Library and Classroom fundraiser! The Reading For Education program is an online fundraiser without face-to-face selling, collecting money, or delivering products. Our school earns up to 40% as supporters shop online at top retailers like Walmart, Old Navy, Kohl’s, Family Bookstore, and over 300 more. Supporters can also donate Gift Of Reading gift cards to purchase books for classrooms. Students win fun prizes all along the way!

We hope you all had a pleasant and restful Thanksgiving break. See you tomorrow!
