Cedartown, GA β September 29, 2025 β Polk School District is proud to announce historic achievements in its four-year graduation rates, reflecting the hard work and dedication of students, families, teachers, and staff across the district.
For the Class of 2025, Polk School Districtβs overall four-year graduation rate reached 92.5%, the highest in district history. Both high schools in the district also reported outstanding results:
Cedartown High School achieved a graduation rate of 91.9%, its highest ever.
Rockmart High School posted a remarkable 93.5%, representing a nearly four percentage point increase from last year.
βThese numbers are more than statistics; they represent opportunities for our studentsβ futures,β said Mark Lumpkin, Superintendent of Polk School District. βWe are incredibly proud of our students for their perseverance, as well as our teachers, staff, and families who supported them every step of the way. These results demonstrate what can be accomplished when our entire community works together for student success.β
The record-breaking graduation rates highlight Polk School Districtβs ongoing commitment to academic excellence and preparing all students for success beyond high school.

Announcements
School starts tomorrow, August 7th β’ Doors open at 7:30 am.
Parents are not allowed to park in the front parking lot and wait on doors to open. That parking lot is our faculty parking lot.
Parents can not drop off students in the bus lane in the mornings or front of PCCCA.
All students must go through metal detectors every day. We encourage students to leave non-school related metal items at home. We prefer that all nonΒ°essential school items such as drinks, perfume, grooming items, extra bags, etc... to be left at home so students' can quickly come through metal detectors.
Students must report to lunchroom or the gym when they enter the school before the 7:50 am. Tardy to class bell will be 8:00 am.
All students willreport to their advisement at 8:00 am.
Students will receive another copy of your schedule in advisement. Students must have a parking permit to park on campus tomorrow Dress code will be enforced tomorrow.
School will be dismissed at 3:25 prn.
Freshmen and new students car riders may be picked up in the north parking lot by the PCCCA and the south parking lot by front entrance by the football stadium.
