Congratulations to our Mr. Matt Foster for being named Polk School District Educator of the Year
Polk School District is proud to announce Matt Foster as our 2026-2027 District Educator of the Year! 🍎🏆
Mr. Foster is a Social Studies teacher and Department Chair at Cedartown Middle School. His passion for history and social studies, commitment to his students, and outstanding leadership make a lasting impact at CMS. His ability to connect learning to real-world experiences helps students build curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
His impact is also reflected in student achievement, with students performing above the RESA and state averages in Social Studies on the Georgia Milestones and ranking 16th out of 41 middle schools in the RESA region! 📚👏
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Mr. Matt Foster and this well-deserved recognition!
Congratulations, Mr. Foster! We are #PSDProud! ❤️🖤💛

Let's get ready to....GO DAWGS.....
All schedules can be found on our CMS Website Athletics Page in PDF: https://www.polk.k12.ga.us/o/cms/page/athletics
We want to let our kids know that they are AMAZING, we want our teachers and staff to know that we appreciate them beyond words, we want our school to be as wonderful as the people within it ... but all of the rewards, celebrations, and good things cost money that school funds do not provide. Our teachers and staff pitch in... our families contribute... but it takes a village... and we are calling on ours...
The easiest way to help is to purchase a CMS Renaissance T-Shirt and/or become a CMS Renaissance Sponsor (before August 31) !!! ❤🐾🖤
You can purchase either in person at our CMS Main Office or online anytime:
