Investing in Educational Excellence

Investing in Educational Excellence (IE2) provides innovative opportunities for Polk School District to advance teaching and learning for our students.  This action is a result of the state law requiring school districts to choose either IE2, Charter or Status Quo operating system by June 2015.  At its March 10, 2015 meeting, the Polk School District Board of Education unanimously approved pursuing the IE2 option as the best option for the students of Polk County. The district immediately began drafting a contract that would provide the district and its ten schools substantial freedom from state education rules and regulations in exchange for increased accountability.
