Welcome back to school! We have really miss all the smiling faces.
My name is Elisa Prewett. I attended Jacksonville State University and received my degree in Elementary Education. This will begin my 13th year of teaching. I have taught 5 years at Youngs Grove Elementary and 8 years at Cherokee Elementary. I currently teach ESOL K-5 at Cherokee.
I have been happily married to my husband, Randy, for 26 years and have two children. My husband, myself and my two children are alumni of Cedartown High School. Go Bulldogs! We are very proud of Polk School District and the impact it has made in our lives and in our community.
I have been looking forward to starting this school year. Although there have had to be changes made in how we traditionally do things, I am certain that this year will be a year full of making new memories, building new relationships and learning new things. Let's get this year started!
I believe that teaching is more than teaching a child a subject. I see each child as an individual with his or her own needs and goals. My goal is to encourage and motivate your child to be the best student and young citizen possible.
