The 2018-2019 school year is my second year at Cedartown High School and my 17th year teaching, all in the state of Georgia. I earned my BA in Spanish from Kennesaw State Univeristy. I also studied abroad at the Universidad de Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain during the summer of 2000. It was one of the best experiences of my life!  I continued my education at the Univeristy of West Georgia, earning my Master's degree in School Library Media in 2009 and my Specialist's degree in School Library Media in 2013. I love to travel and have visited Mexico, Honduras, Spain, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

I knew from a young age I wanted to be a teacher and I cannot image doing anything else.  As an educator, I believe that every student is unique and deserves a chance to learn in a safe, fun, and challenging environment.  My goal is to help my students achieve their potential and to foster a life-long love of learning that will follow them far beyond the walls of the school.
