I believe that every child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as a teacher to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
My name is LeAnna Morton. I am teaching 4th Grade Math this year. This is my fifth year teaching, but first year at Youngs Grove. I taught 7th Grade ELA at Cedartown Middle last year and prior to that, I taught Kindergarten and 3rd Grade in Bartow County. I graduated from Shorter University with my Bachelor of Science in Education in 2013. I recently graduated from Kennesaw State University with my Masters in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Leadership. I currently reside in Cedartown with my husband. We have a beautiful baby boy who was born in May named Sawyer and a precious dog named Ella Grace. I love watching college football and am a huge Florida Gators fan. Go Gators! I also love to go to the beach and spend time with my family.
If you ever need anything or have any questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am here for you and your child.
