Character education is a term used to describe the teaching of children in a manner that will help them develop as moral, civic, good, mannered, behaved, non-bullying, healthy, critical, successful, traditional, compliant and/or socially acceptable beings. Character Education at the middle school level is of upmost importance as we are charged with building a firm foundation, including equipping students with a moral foundation. CMS will be observing character words of the month this year. These words are emphasized each morning of the month on the morning announcements. Mrs. Redden and Ms. Mosley will also discuss these during classroom guidance.
