We started class by finishing the powerpoint over procedures and expectations in Mrs. Levy's class.  Then we wrote down the two warm up questions for the day.  We then watched a Georgia Stories video. We finished class by doing a circle map brainstorming prior knowledge of Georgia.

Today, we started class with two warmup questions.  Get the answers and questions from your partner.  You will have a warmup quiz on Friday and need the answers.  Then we watched Today in Georgia History, a good resource for Georgia Studies.  Next, we took notes over SS8G1a, the location of Georgia.  We finished by writing a paragraph describing our location. 

Please turn in a paragraph using the following instructions:

Imagine you are in outer space.  You meet an alien.  The alien asks where you are from.  You tell the alien you are from Georgia.  But you have to be more specific because the alien does not know where Georgia is located.  Write a paragraph describing the location of Georgia (be sure to include hemispheres, continent, nation, and region) to your new alien friend.

We started class with a Warm Up quiz over week 1 warmups.  Next, we finished taking notes over the 5 regions of Georgia.  Then we received a new map and labeled the 6 physical features of Georgia.  Then we bagan notes over the physical features.

We started class with two warm up questions.  Get the answers from your partner.  Next, we finished watching the Okefenokee Swamp Georgia Stories video.  Then we finished notes over the geography unit and started the study guide for Unit 1.

We started class with two warmup questions.  Get the answers from your partner.  Next, we finished working on the study guide for the geography test and went over the answers as a class.  We finished class by completing our map work from the other day.

Today we started class with two warm up questions.  Next, we took the Unit 1 Test.  After finishing the test, students read from the textbook about the American Indians and exploration.

Today we started class with a warm up quiz.  Next, we watched the Georgia Stories video about archaeology.  Then we discussed how Native Americans arrived in Georgia by the Beringia land bridge.  Next, we discussed how historians measure time.  We finished with instructions about our first project (see attached).

Today we started class with the warm-up quiz – see Mrs. Levy to make this up.  Then we finished the notes over exploration and settlement.  We then received the Unit 2 study guide and worked on it for the remainder of class.

Today, we started class with two warmup questions.  Get the answers from a partner.  Next, we finished the graphic organizer over the four cultural groups in the new colony.  Then we did a double bubble map comparing and contrasting two of the four cultural groups.  Then we took a few notes about Savannah.

Today, we started class with two warmup questions.  Get the answers from a partner.  Then we took the warmup quiz from last Friday.  Next, we read an article about the city of Savannah.  We finished class with a webquest over the royal governors of Georgia (please turn this in for a grade).
