My name is Keri Hunnicutt Dean. I was born and raised here in Cedartown, Georgia. I am a graduate of Cedartown High School in the class of 2000. I attended college at Georgia Southern University and was a member of the AOII sorority. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of West Georgia. I earned a Masters and Specialist degree in Health and Physical Education from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. I was inspired by my father, Milton Hunnicutt, to become an educator. I taught middle school Health and Physical Education for one year in Douglasville, Georgia. I moved to Cedartown High School and taught Special Education for 7 years. I have been teaching PE for 5 years and have been split between Youngs Grove and Northside. I’m excited to begin my 14th year teaching at Westside Elementary!
I am married to Scot Dean and have 2 children, Ana Scott and Mason. We are a very active family and are always on the go. Health and fitness are very important to us. I love to go walking and enjoy being outside. I love all sports, but boxing is my favorite. I am a former boxer! I have 5 dogs, a bird, and several fish. I am looking forward to a great year!
