Philosophy of Education

My goal as an educator is to create a safe, structured learning environment that will promote self-discovery, exploration and critical thinking. It is my desire to instill a love learning, along with a commitment to become a life-long learner in my students. I expect the best from every student I teach. An important part of being an educator is to prepare students for an ever-changing society by providing academic, social, emotional, physical and character developing skills. Along with these skills, students must be prepared to enter college, or the workforce, upon graduation.

I also feel that every child that enters my classroom should know that he or she is important, they matter, and they are loved.
