Order of Letters

In kindergarten, we do not teach the letters in order. In the beginning, we introduce sounds that are continuous rather than stop sounds and can be easily said by most children. For example, m, s, and f can be stretched out, resulting in easier blending of sounds. This order will help the students be more successful in reading words quicker.

This is the order we will be teaching the letters: m, s, f, a, p, t, c, i, b, h, n, o, d, g, l, v, y, r, e, q, z, j, u, k, x, w.
