Another exciting school year in First Grade is about to begin! This will be my twentieth year teaching in Polk County. I grew up in Molndal, Sweden and moved to the United States in 1997. That year, I started my Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood at Shorter College, where I also played for the Lady Hawks tennis team. Those were four exciting years! Playing tennis at Shorter is also where I met my wonderful husband Dee. My husband is the owner of Rockmart Florist. Together we are very blessed to have our sweet daughter Emma. Emma graduated this year from Rockmart High School! She will now attend Georgia Northwestern Technical College to complete a degree in Construction Management. I also went back to school and received my Master Degree through West Georgia University. If we are not all playing tennis, we are taking care of our cats, Sussie and Pepsi, and our sweet dogs Daisy and Easton. I can not wait for this year to get started! See you soon!
