My name is Jamie Pierce Cox. I am originally from Polk county and still reside here now with my husband and our two children. My husband,Chad is the Game Warden for Polk County. Our two children Huntley and Elle are students in Polk School District .

I began my teaching career over 20 years ago in Paulding County.  After teaching at Roberts Elementary, I came back to teach in my hometown and childhood elementary school, Eastside Elementary. During my years as an educator, I have served as a regular education classroom teacher, Title I, and EIP for kindergarten-fifth. While serving as an educator, I have obtained a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, Masters in both educational leadership and early childhood education along with a reading endorsement.

I love being a educator! There is no greater feeling than seeing a child's face when he has learned something that you have been trying to teach him. I believe that every child has the ability and potiental to learn. It is my responsability to help nurish and grow that potiental, so that he can become his best possible.
