After high school, I went to Young Harris College where I graduated with an associates in education. Next, I went to West Georgia college where I graduated with a degree in special education. I finished up my education by getting my masters degree from West Georgia as well.
Mrs. Carol Carlton
My name is Carol Carlton. I am a graduate of Rockmart High School class of 1997.
I began my teaching career at Eastside Elementary in 2002 as an exceptional students teacher. In 2011, I began teaching math to fourth graders. This year, I will be teaching reading and writing. As a teacher, I believe learning requires a collaboration between teacher, students, and parents. I recognize that each child will have their own style and pace of learning. It is important for students to have opportunities to make mistakes and be allowed to learn from their mistakes. I enjoy watching the the growth of the students throughout the year.
Just a little about myself. I am married to Brad Carlton. He works on his family farm, Carlton Farms. I have a daughter named Sara who is a senior at Rockmart High School this year. My son is named Ty, and is an eighth grader at Rockmart Middle School. My family also includes a sweet dog named Zoe, and a new puppy named Buddy.
