Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security Pathway

The Law, Public Safety, Corrections, & Security Career Cluster prepares individuals for employment relating to emergency and fire services, legal services, protective services, and homeland security. Students will handle real-world situations involving ethics and a professional code of conduct, gain an understanding of basic criminal, civil, and constitutional law, implement conflict resolution strategies, explore the structure of the government and the court system, incorporate skills for CPR, use of an AED, airway obstruction and first aid, and understand pre-trial and post-trial procedures, jury selection, and examinations.
