Mrs. Hannah Jones
Hello! Welcome to my class! My name is Hannah Jones. I have been teaching first grade for 7 years. I taught Pre-K for 4 years prior to moving to first grade.
I knew as a little girl I wanted to be a teacher. When my brother and I would play, he was always my student. Of course this was until he got old enough to realize I really wasn't his teacher. Lol
I have been married for 4 years! My husband and I love the journey life has given us! I enjoy going to church and spending time with my family! I also love Reese's cups :). Traveling and visiting new places is ALWAYS on my "To Do" list!
I love teaching first grade and being creative when I teach. I teach my students to say, "I can...and I will!", because "I can't" is not an option. :)
We are going to have a GREAT year! :) I look forward to working with you and your child.
Philosophy of Education:
It is my belief that teachers must obtain unique knowledge and skills. By this, I want to strive daily as a teacher to instill a love of learning in my students. I want to give them a learning atomsphere that is excited, challenging, creative, safe, and fun.
When it comes to students, they all have a nature of learning. I believe that all students are born able to learn and have that desire to learn. I strive to give my students a reason to want to learn. I want my students to feel encouraged in my classroom and that it is safe to ask questions.
In the area of the teachers nature, are many aspects that are cruical to the student's learning. I believe that all teachers should be encouragers to their students. This is especially important if a student has chosen not to learn. I believe that teaching is a profession that is a calling. I am placed in this role to be passionated and caring, as well as, sturctured. I want my students to know they are cared about in my classroom. I believe that as a teacher if I can make a difference in just the life of one child, I did what I was meant to do. I want to make a difference in all the lives of my students. I feel that as a teacher I should strive to do my best and be as effective as possible.
