My name is Kristi Golden and I am an ESOL teacher at Cherokee Elementary School. I have been teaching for 22 years in Polk County and have experience in elementary and middle school classrooms.  

I am married to Tim Golden and we have three wonderful children.  Frank is working for the Rockmart City Police Department, Anna is teaching 1st grade at Van Wert Elementary this year, and Olivia is a Senior at Cedartown High School.

PHILOSOPHY

My Philosophy of Education is that each child that I teach should feel welcomed, safe, and loved in my classroom. I strive every day to make my students excited about their education and create a lifelong love of learning in them.  I want my students to love school and I will work hard to instill in them the knowledge that I believe in them and the great things they can accomplish. 

I know this year will be a challenge, but working together, we will make this year a positive and successful experience one for everyone.
