after graduating from Rockmart High School, I attended the University of Georgia and the State Universtity of West Georgia where I obtained my bachelor's, master's, and specialist degrees in Early Childhood Education. I furthered my education by completing my doctorate degree at Walden University in the area of Teacher Leadership.

Hello! My name is Dr. Jada Conring. As a young child, I knew I wanted to become a teacher.
My educational experience includes 30.5 years of teaching grades 1-4, and 1.5 years as Math Coach at Van Wert Elementary and Focus/FLP Coordinator at Northside Elementary. I currently teach EIP at Cherokee Elementary.
As an educator, the students I serve are in the forefront of every decision I make. I believe every student can and will learn when placed in an environment that encourages creative thinking, academic risks, and respect for all cultures, learning styles and beliefs. Research shows that the most important factor in a child's academic success is belief in themself. Therefore, my goal as an educator is to help build the self-esteem of every child I come in contact with and foster their belief in themself as a learner. Maya Angelou said it best when she said...
"I've learned that children will forget what you said, children will forget what you did, but children will never forget how you made them feel."
On a personal note, I have three beautiful daughters. My oldest daughter, Courtenay, obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and her master's degree from Texas Tech. She is the Wildlife Biologist for Lake Guntersville in Alabama. My middle daughter, Christen, graduated from the University of Georgia and has a job with Merril Lynch in Savannah, Georgia. My youngest daughter, Caroline, will be a freshman at the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs!! I spend my free time watching sports, playing with my shih-tzus, and reading.
