Welcome to a new and exciting year at Cherokee Elementary! My name is Laura DeLong, and it is my pleasure to have the opportunity to work with you and your child in the Polk Enrichment Program (P.E.P.) this year. I am a wife to a loving husband and a mom of three boys - Easton (6), Wyatt (3) and Bennett (3).

I am honored to have the opportunity to be an educator in Polk County.  I look forward to bringing my experience and enthusiasm to our classroom this year.  

The Polk Enrichment Program is an exciting and challenging experience for students as they continue to grow and learn.  We will be touching on many new topics, while also building on past experiences in order to facilitate higher levels of thinking as well as develop critical and creative thinking skills in your child.  I am dedicated to making this a productive, safe, and fun year for all my students!
