My name is Heather Cain, and I am so excited to be a part the staff at Cherokee Elementary School. I moved to Cedartown in 2015 after living in Grayson GA , and teaching for Gwinnett County Public Schools for 19 years.I have taught Kindergarten, SDD Kindergarten, and Mild Intellectual Diasabilities in Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grades. I hold a Specialist Degree which I completed at Piedmont College. 2020 is my third year at Cherokee Elementary . CHEROKEE IS THE PLACE TO BE! We have a wonderful caring staff, great students and a school district that cares about each student. I am currently serving students through inclusion in general education rooms, as well as small group lessons in my classroom. I love being a teacher and working with so many different students!

I love seeing the eyes of a child shine and light up when they are able to master a difficult concept that we have been working on.
