My name is Megan King. I am one of the 7th grade English Language Arts teachers here at Cedartown Middle School. I am beginning my fifth year of teaching. This is my third year at CMS. My first two years, I taught high school in Alabama. I live in Alabama with my husband, Stefan King. We have been married for five years, but we have been together for nine years! I love spending time with my husband and family, teaching, reading, playing games, singing, movies (Harry Potter, Twilight, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Marvel movies, DC movies), pink, traveling (I want to go to Paris!), football (ROLL TIDE!!), the NBA, going to concerts, pizza, pasta, and ice cream. My favorite authors are J.K. Rowling, Angie Thomas, Nicholas Sparks, Jane Austen, Suzanne Collins, Emily Giffin, Sarah Dessen, JRR Tolkien, and Stephanie Myers. 

My Teaching Philosophy:

I believe that all children deserve to be taught in the way they learn best. That is why I teach using a variety of activities that help the brain learn; from hands-on, visual, and auditory learning, to an integration of technology. I love learning and try to convey my love of learning to my students to encourage them to be active and life-long learners. Rest assured that when your child is in my class they are loved and cared for.
