Welcome to Cedartown Middle School. I am Mrs. Blakeney and I teach special education. I'm excited to be teaching my first year here in the Polk School District. This year I will be teaching 8th grade math with Mrs. Long. I have been teaching for special education for 10 years and have had the oppurtunity to teach all around the country and in all different grades.

When I'm not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Matt and I have three children that also attend Cedartown Schools.

Educational Philosophy

Education is not a one-size-fits-all discipline, and I believe it's essential that my approach is tailored to the specific learning needs of each student. I get to know the students as individuals so I can appropriately support and challenge them academically.
