I graduated with an Associate Degree in Business from Shorter College and received my BS Degree in Business Management from Covenant College. I earned a Master of Science in Human Environmental Science from the University of Alabama.
Mrs. Lori Michelle Thaxton
This is my 13th year teaching for Polk School District. During this time I have taught at Eastside Elementary, Rockmart Middle School, and for the Polk County College and Career Academy.
I am married to Charles Thaxton. I have two sons, and a beautiful granddaughter.
My Educational Philosophy
Every child has the ability to bring something unique and special to the classroom. My job as an educator is to help each child develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist my students with discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions as well as nurture their ideas. It is my desire as an educator to help students grow to their fullest potential.
