This will be my 9th year at Cedartown High and my sixth in the area of Special Education/Social Studies. I'm looking forward to being here and working hard to assure our students get the most out of their high school experience.
I am also a freelance trumpet player and I'm involved with many musical outlets as a performer or educator. Some of these include Southern Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, Clock Tower Jazz Ensemble, The Georgians, The Georgia Blues Brothers, and Rome Little Theatre musical productions among others.
I am a native of Louisiana and attended Southeastern Louisiana University as well as Louisiana State University. My family includes my wife Jenny Wear and 3 sons Jack (11), Gabe (23), and Ryan (25).
Geaux Tigers!
My philosophy on education is the notion that everyone can learn if they care enough to try. It is the job of the parent to raise their children to be curious about the unknown. It is the teacher whose job is to create an interesting way to present knowledge to satisfy that curiosity.
