Hello! My name is Mrs. Emma Hicks. I am an ESOL Inclusion teacher at Cedartown High School. This school year 2020-2021 is my fifth year teaching at CHS.
My educational philosophy was born when my mother told me that, "Children are the future leaders of the world, so let's take care of them." I believe that a child must meet his needs (physiological, safety, self-esteem, love, and belongingness) before he can learn. I also believe that the schools' activities/assignments should include real-world scenarios that the students can manipulate to have a positive learning experience. Teachers can make a big difference in a child's life!
I am blessed and thankful for being a part of a very supportive staff of Cedartown High School!
