I hold a BS from Tennessee Temple University in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I have a M.Ed in the same concentration from the University of West Georgia. I also have a specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Curriculum and Instruction.

I have been teaching math for 27 years, 18 of those years have been in Polk School District.
I am a wife to Dennis for 35 years, a mother to Justin (31) who holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University, Tyler who has a bachelor's in Mass Communications with a concentration in Film Studies (he is waiting on Hollywood to open back up in order to pursue his career) and Andrea who works a local credit union. I am a grandmother to a beautiful grandson who started kindergarten this year. Justin and his wife, Marketta, have another grandson on the way, and he is due December the first.
I believe that all students can succeed. I also believe that it takes willingness on the part of the teacher, parent, and student to work together. If any of those links are broken, education becomes more difficult. It is imperative that teachers and parents work together to insure that their child is educated and can succeed.
