Hello! My name is Mr. Warren and I am the music teacher at Youngs Grove Elementary School. Grades K-5 visit my classroom for weekly music class. Students are taught using the Game Plan curriculum as well as standards-based activities that I have learned through various conferences, workshops, or experience.

While at Shorter, I was involved in the band, chorus, and musical theatre programs.  While in the band, I served as drum major my senior year as well as principal euphonium player.  While in the musical theatre program, I was cast as Dario in the musical, "Death Takes a Holiday," and was the accordion player in the pit orchestra for "Spitfire Grill"  I also play a multitude of instruments, including: all brass instruments, drums, piano, Hammond organ, electric bass, and accordion.

My goal, as a music educator, is to make sure that every child feels welcome in the classroom.  I strive daily to provide an environment in which every child can succeed.  As an elementary educator, I do not know who walks into my room on a daily basis, meaning I do not know the potential of each child that I see.  As far as I know, I could be teaching the next Ludwig Van Beethoven, Louis Armstrong, Bill Gaither, Taylor Swift, or John Legend.  I want each child to love music and to always try their best, and my goal is to create a classroom in which this can happen.
