My name is Gentry Sanford, and I am a 2nd grade teacher. This is my thirteenth year of teaching in Polk School District. I absolutely love to teach and always enjoy the challenge of pushing students as far as they can go.

It was from a dear teacher, who lost her battle to cancer, but her words still inspire me still to this day!

Children and learning are much like getting into a house. Sometimes you go through the front door, other times you enter through the back door, and there are times and occasions you have to enter through a window. The POINT is you enter the house. The same applies to students no matter what angle a teacher has to take, children have the ability to learn. It is our job to give them the tools to do just that.
