My name is Holly Nails. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband, Chris Nails and five sweet children. We live here in Cedartown and attend Victory Baptist Church.
I began teaching in August of 1999 at Cherokee Elementary. I continued to work there for eleven years. During those years at Cherokee, I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University in 2006. I then moved to Youngs Grove Elementary and have loved it from the very first day! I have been in education for twenty-two years and have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade. I believe that teaching is a calling and one of the most important jobs that someone can do!.
I believe that all students can learn! All children may not learn at the same pace, however; all growth is celebrated! I believe in treating all students with kindness and respect. I treat each child in my classroom just as if I would want my own personal children treated. I believe in hard work and perseverance! Success does not always come easy. Teaching students to do their best, work hard, and persevere are life long skills. I believe we are preparing students for the future. Education should prepare children to be successful and contribute to society's well being. I believe in teaching the whole child. Education is not only academics, but morals, manners, etc. We are preparing our students to be hardworking, successful, well balanced individuals.
