My name is Laura Lewis and I am an EIP teacher. I assist students in language arts classes.
During the 2020-2021 school year, I will begin my 25th year of teaching. Originally, I taught in my hometown in Haralson County. After marring and moving to Cedartown, I began teaching for Polk School District.
I chose to become an educator because I believe the years from pre-k through fifth grade are the most important years during a child’s education. Early Childhood Educators are instrumental in assisting students to develop a positive mindset about their school careers.
I live in Cedartown with my husband, Todd, and our two children. Owen attends Shorter University and Emilee is in the fourth grade. We have one dog, Sugar, goats and chickens. Our family loves to watch Georgia Bulldogs football games. I also enjoy reading and traveling.
