I am so excited to be teaching first grade this year!

This is my third year teaching at Youngs Grove and I can’t wait for many more years in the future!

I grew up in Rome, Ga. I moved to Cedartown in 2013 when I married my husband, Lee. We have been married for seven years. We have been blessed with two handsome, loving, and wild little boys! Landon is six and Knox is one. They keep us on our toes, but we enjoy every moment of it.

I believe that every child can learn just not all in the same way. It is my mission, every day, to incorporate as many different learning styles into my instruction. At any given time in my room, you may find me dancing, singing, or sitting on the floor surrounded by my kiddos!

My Teaching Philosophy: I believe that a teacher should, most importantly, have love for each student that walks in her classroom. I strive to maintain a positive learning environment that students look forward to coming to school for. I think a welcoming, fun, and safe classroom draws students that are eager to learn! I believe that every child can learn, and it is my job to figure out how. All of my students may not learn at the same pace, but I enter each day looking for the best way for all of my students to learn!
