I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Berry College for my Early Childhood Education Degree. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, and I have a Specialist's Degree in Educational Technology.

Hi Everyone! My name is Krista Crawford, and I teach Math at Van Wert Elementary.
This is my 26th year of teaching, and all but five have been in a 5th grade classroom. Since coming to Van Wert Elementary, I have had the privilege of teaching just math to 2nd-5th grade students. This year, I will be with our 5th grade team all day.
As a teacher, I believe that all students can learn; however, the manner in which they learn may be quite different. For me, it is imperative that students feel safe in order to explore their understandings and take risks within their learning environment. Students need to be challenged, and yet, nurtured through love and understanding of their needs for them to be successful. I am very excited about this upcoming year, and I look forward to working with all of my students and parents.
