My name is Wanda Brewster. I was born in Columbus, Georgia. My father was in the military so my family moved around until we settled in Cedartown, Georgia. My mother is from this area. I am the oldest of three children. I have lived in Cedartown all my life.
I attended Polk County Schools from grades 1-12.
I will be starting my 30th year teaching. All of my teaching has been done in Polk County schools. I taught my first 19 years at Cherokee Elementary and the last 11 at Youngs Grove. I will be an EIP teacher for the 2020-2021 year.
I have been married to John Brewster for 27 years. He is a direct descendant of the Youngs Family for which the Youngs Grove area is named. We have a daughter and 2 grandchildren.
My hobbies include shopping, reading, and gardening. I love to watch college football and I am a huge GEORGIA BULLDOG fan. I enjoy going to the beach whenever I get a chance.
My philosophy of education is that every child should have the right to learn and get a quality education. Every child that enters into the classroom should feel safe, comfortable and loved. The classroom should be an environment full of nurturing and enriching activities.
