I graduated from Cedartown High School in 1996. I attended Floyd College until 1998, when I transferred to West Georgia. I later graduated there with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. I attended Walden University for my Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy. I went back to school for my Doctorate Degree in Teacher Leadership at Walden and finished in 2012. I guess I can't get enough of learning! I hope that I can share this love of learning with all of my students!

A Little Background Info:
I would like to take a little time and tell you about myself. I am 42 years old, married, and the proud mom of a 17 year old boy (Avery) and a 13 year old girl (Emily). I have taught 1st grade for 3 years, kindergarten for 14 years, and 2nd grade for 2 years. I have also taught Title I Reading and Math for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. I am very excited about this year in 2nd grade and cannot wait to share this special time with you and your child.
My Philosophy of Teaching:
I believe all students can learn at their own level and in their own way to reach their fullest potential. It is my job to love and care about each student and teach them in a way that they learn best. I have the highest expectations for each of my students and feel that the relationships that I build with them will increase the likelihood of reaching these expectations. I feel that I am successful when they are successful!
