My educational philosophy:  Each student I teach holds a special place in my heart, therefore I strive to provide a safe learning environment.  I strive for growth in learning by presenting academic challenges to ensure success.  I expect each child to give 100%, as I do myself. 

In 1997, I began working in Polk School District. For the past 24 years, I have taught kindergarten (14 years), third grade (9 years), and this is my second year in first grade.  I am excited to begin another year in this awesome profession!

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my amazing children.  I have a daughter, who is a sophomore at Oglethorpe University, and my son is a high school sophomore.
