Hello! My name is Kirsten Burgess. I am from Rockmart, GA. I am married to Dave Burgess who is also from Polk County. We have two adorable boys, Boone and Briar. We also have a Rat Terrier named Penny and a chocolate Labrador Retriever named Doc.

I have only taught at Westside, one year in Pre-K and six in 1st. 

I am so excited for this school year. I genuinely love to teach and I love being around little minds all day long. I learn so much from them and the way they think about things. It is my personal belief that every child can learn just not all the same way. I strive to incorporate as many different learning styles into my instruction as possible. At any time in my room, you may find me on top of the counter teaching, singing, dancing, or sitting on the floor. Please feel free to contact me ANYTIME you need something or have a question.
