Hi! My name is Jamie Brynteson. I'm a 3rd Grade Math & Science & Social Studies Teacher at Westside Elementary School. I began my teaching career in 2009 after graduating as a Cum Laude graduate from the University of West Georgia. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Science (Education). During my teaching career, I have gained a great insight across many grade level curriculums. I have also had many extraordinary opportunities to teach diverse groups of students. I have received Teacher of the Year 2013-2014, Educator of the Month September 2015, Outstanding Educator Award 2014-2015, and Teacher of the year 2019-2020. With my free time, I love spending time with my husband, Matt and daughter, Piper Kate.

My philosophy of education is to nurture and encourage your child as a reader, a writer, a mathematician, a scientist, and a good citizen. I will continue to help your child develop an enthusiasm for math and science through the use of technology, hands-on assignments, and your child’s ability to explore. It is my goal to make sure your child will gain an in depth knowledge of number sense and problem solving by reading, writing, and applying math skills in their everyday lives. I am extremely eager and thrilled to be a part of your child's educational journey.
