Hi! Welcome to my online classroom! I am a speech language pathologist at Westside Elementary and Cedartown Middle School.

I am beginning my 26th school year with Polk School District. I spent the first 15 years of my career at Northside Elementary, and the past 10 years I have been working at Westside, my elementary alma mater.  

I am married to Brian Blankenship, and we have 2 daughters: Maggie and Tori.  Maggie is a college student, and Tori attends Cedartown High School.  We enjoy shopping, eating out, and traveling together.  Our favorite place to visit is the happiest place on Earth- Walt Disney World.   We also enjoying watching sports. Two of our favorite teams are the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs.  Go Dawgs! 

I love my job because I am blessed to work with a wide age range of children.  I feel that it is important for every child to be able to effectively communicate with others.  I am able to help my students by increasing their ability to communicate with others. In the area of speech language, a child can get assistance if they have difficulty in the areas of articulation, language, voice, or fluency.  If you have any questions or concerns about your child's communication skills, please feel free to contact me.
