Hi! My name is Mrs. Paige McDowell! I am thrilled to be your child’s second grade teacher for this school year!

I grew up only about fifteen minutes away from Van Wert! I am currently married to a wonderful man, Aaron McDowell!  I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my family. This is my third year teaching at Van Wert Elementary School. I looked forward to a great school year with your child and hearing from you throughout the year!

I believe that each child deserves a caring, stimulating, and safe learning environment. My desire as their teacher is to help each individual child reach their fullest potential. Each student needs a learning environment that helps each one to develop a love for learning and respect for themselves, others, and their environment.  I will work to make our classroom a place where students feel safe to express their thoughts and ideas. I believe that promoting fair and consistent rules and letting them know what is expected will give them the structure needed to grow in learning.
