Hi! My name is Megan Atkins. I have a degree in early childhood education and elementary education. I am married and have a eight year old daughter and two step daughters. We moved to Cedartown from Centre, AL in 2014. This will be my fifth year teaching at Cherokee Elementary. I have been blessed to meet many great people in the school system and I am thrilled to continue my career with the Polk school system. I have previously taught pre-k and third grade. I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten again this year. This will be my third year in Kindergarten. I love to see how students learn and grow throughout the year, especially their first year of school. I will strive to provide the best education and learning experience for your child. I believe that building a good classroom community helps students learn from each other. Every child learns in a different way and I plan to adjust my teaching style to reach each and every child.
