Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ESSER) funding was provided to state and local school districts as part of the COVID-19 relief bills passed by Congress. These three bills provided funds to support schools’ efforts to reopen schools safely, address gaps in learning, and support measures to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The department of ESSER, Policy, and Planning oversees the ESSER budgets and compliance related to ESSER spending.

During the unprecedented times of a global pandemic, Polk School District is committed to continually reassessing the needs of district in order to properly respond to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have any suggestions regarding Polk School District’s response efforts to the pandemic with ESSER funding, please provide feedback at the link provided.
