I am excited to be working in the Polk County College and Career Academy as the DE Transition Coordinator. I have worked in Polk School District for 24 years , spending much of that time as a school counselor. My husband, Allen, and I are both Rockmart natives and proud graduates of Rockmart High School. I enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren.

I believe all students should be exposed to career exploration early in their educational process. Most careers require some post-secondary work or degrees. I enjoy working with students to help them determine career opportunities that interest them and help them find the best path to reach their goals. Our Dual Enrollment program gives students the chance to get a head start on that education. We help student adjust to the challenges of college curriculum. By taking advantage of the DE program, students can save a tremendous amount of money that would have normally be spent on tuition cost and fees. Students can obtain post-secondary degrees without the burden of excessive student loans and college expenses.
