I received my Bachelors degree from West Georgia College in Early Childhood Education. I received my Masters degree from Kennesaw State University.

Here is a little bit about myself. This is my 27th year of teaching. Over the years, I have enjoyed teaching in a variety of settings including both regular and special education. This will be my third year teaching fifth grade.
My philosophy of education is simple. Follow the "Golden Rule, " which is to treat others the way that you would want to be treated. I strive to treat students, parents, and colleagues with the same kindness and high expectations that I would want for my own children, myself as a parent, and for myself as a team member.
On a personal note, I feel very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family. My husband's name is Greg. We have three grown children with families of their own: Shannon, Chase, and Brandon. We also have a 12 year old daughter, Christina. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with our grandchildren. Being a "Gramzie" is the best! I can't leave out our fur babies. We have two little westies named Hootie aka "The Shredder" and Gracie aka "The Couch Potato." We also have a nice little one eyed cat named Inky Binky Winky.
Even though these are unusual times we are living in, we will work hard to get through it TOGETHER!
